The feel throughout is that of a small luxury hotel with personal service to match. Modern appointments, placed discreetly, do not intrude on the rooms period decor. Each of the nine guest rooms has a unique personality - all have private bath, television and air conditioning, three have wood burning fireplaces. Feel free to spend an evening, relaxing by the fireplace, watching television, or taking a bath in a deep porcelain tub. Enjoy a specially cooked three course Vermont gourmet breakfast each morning. Rates range form $115 to $295 per night. All rooms can be upgraded to a Romantic Vermont Getaway Package - The romantic Vermont getaway package ($30/night) includes a dozen roses, bottle of champagne and a box of Lake Champlain chocolates and requires a two night stay. |

Middlebury College, - Middlebury is an independent, residential, liberal arts college with 2,270 students and a distinctly international character. Otter Creek beers are craft brewed in Middlebury with the finest malts and hops available. Copper Ale, Stovepipe Porter and Pale Ale along with seasonal specials are brewed on the premises, and Otter Creek Brewery factory tours are very popular.
Robert Frost Trail National Recreation Trail that commemorates Robert Frost’s poetry; several of his poems are mounted along the trail in the woods and fields. Blueberries and huckleberries grow in an old field at the far end of the trail.
Shelburne Museum, founded in 1947, is one of the nation's most eclectic museums of art, Americana, architecture, and artifacts. Thirty-nine galleries and exhibition structures display over 150,000 objects spanning four centuries. Take NY Thruway (I-87) North to Albany and follow signs for Northway (I-87)
Stay on Northway (I-87) to Exit 20 (Route 149) (second exit for Rutland VT)
Follow Route 149 East until joins Route 4 in Fort Anne, NY
Left on to Route 4 North
Continue on Route 4 East into Vermont
Leave Route 4 at Exit 2 onto Route 22A North (Vergennes)
Follow Route 22A until Orwell
In Orwell, turn right onto Route 73 East until reach Brandon.
In Brandon join Route 7 South for about 1 mile
At the Monument continue on Route 73 East (Park Street) slight left turn

Take I-95 North to New Haven, CT
In New Haven, stay to left and follow I-91 North until Exit 6 in Vermont
Exit I-91 onto Route 103 North - left turn - towards Ludlow & Okemo
Stay on Route 103 to Route 7
Turn right onto Route 7 North towards Rutland
Follow Route 7 to Brandon
In Brandon at the Monument make a sharp right turn on to Route 73 East (Park Street)

Take I-93 or Route 3 North to Concord, NH
In Concord join I-89 North to Vermont Exit 3
Exit I-89 North towards Bethel onto Route 107 West
In Bethel stay on Route 107 West - turn left under the railroad bridge
Follow Route 107 to Route 100 North – sharp right turn
Follow Route 100 North to Route 73 West towards Brandon - left turn
Stay on 73 West into Brandon, where it makes a right turn
At this point Route 73 West becomes Park Street
