Vendôme, "Town of art and history".
Built upon a hill on the Loir river in Gallo-Roman times; It became the Duchy of Vendôme in 1515, by the will of François the First.
Huchepie Manor.
10 minutes from the centre town and the TGV Train station (a 42 minutes trip to Paris), the XVIIIth century Huchepie Manor is ideally located to visit the "Châteaux" of the Loire Valley, and the listed gardens of the area.
Two double bedroom each with its own private baths are located on the second floor, one single en suite is also available for a third person.
Continental breakfast is served in the large dining-room overlooking the garden.(full breakfast on request)
Note that the House is "NON SMOKING" and that Cosette the "Felix the cat" of the Manoir does not accept other fellow animals on her homeground. |

In the evening Dinner is available to the residents at the Table d'Hôtes.
The carefully prepared "cuisine" with fresh products, some bio, some from the Manoir garden is proposed at 26 euros per person(a bottle of wine for two and cofee included) on booking only.

VISIT AND DISCOVERY.
Vendôme: its listed gardens, its Castle, substantially destroyed during the religions war, under Henry the Fourth; and its summer rendez-vous: free concerts in the cloister of the Trinité Abbey.
Close to the Châteaux de la Loire, Chambord, Chenonceaux etc... and the one of Talcy which inspired to Ronsard its famous ode "Mignonne allons voir..." and the Manoir de la Possonnière where he was born.
The 70km long vineyard of the Loir valley, and its troglodytes dwellings.
Closeby the Manor: the inviting Oratoire Forest at 500m only.

Coming from Le Mans to Vendôme, 250m after the TGV station round-about and 500 m after the sign-post Vendôme, turn right into a small road, in the middle of the fields, the street of Huchepie, number 387, the Manor parking.
The reception is open between 5pm an 7pm, every day except Sunday.
