In a remote countryside, a 18th century former farmhouse, self contained accommodation.
Located in the country of the Vézère Valley, at the threshold of the Perigord region.
Set in a very peaceful location, with a fenced garden (2000 Sq.mt), surrounded by an undulating landscape of large meadows and woods.
All rooms are at garden level.
Large living-room (38 Sq mt) with apparent stones walls and beam ceiling, and a traditional inglenook fireplace "cantou",

Orgnac-sur-Vézère is a small rural village whose 300 inhabitants are scattered on a wide territory including Gorges of Vezere river and Castle fortress of Comborn.
The immediate surroundings are :
- Vigeois with its Abbey church and an old medieval bridge (said "le pont des anglais" !
- Le Glandier, a former Charterhouse.
- Pompadour, the well-known Horse town with National Stud and Château.
- Ségur le Château and Saint-Robert rated "most beautiful villages in France"
- Donzenac, a medieval village
- Travassac, a slate quarry, scenic and vertiginous site
- Uzerche, a medieval citadel "La perle du Limousin" |

At the south of the Corrèze departement, next to Dordogne departement, 60 km south from Limoges and 30 km north from Brive-la-Gaillarde
Motorway A20 Paris - Toulouse (no toll between Vierzon and Brive)
--> Exit 45 (TULLE - VIGEOIS)
--> road D3 to VIGEOIS following the tourist road of the Vézère valley
--> go to VIGEOIS,
--> follow the tourist road (D3 direction OBJAT)
--> after 8 km reach the hamlet indicated "LES FOMBIARDES"
--> after 500 m in this hamlet take right the small road indicated "LES CHAISES BASSES"
--> the Gîte is further 500 m on left |
